Advanced Training-

Ice and Rock Climbing

Knowing and respecting women's strengths, we like to encourage them to enter into the adventurous area of mountaineering. We offer advanced training in ice and rock climbing for our more experienced trekking guides, introducing them to the skills required to become mountaineering guides, a rare profession for women in Nepal. This training encourages them to work with each other as a team, building trust in each others' capabilities and increasing both their self-confidence and physical confidence.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide advanced skill training in adventure tourism, promoting gender equality in the workforce and economic independence for women.

Aims & Objectives

Empower women through adventure tourism.

Provide women with the practical skills for mountaineering.

Encourage women to explore their outer limits.

Develop a teamwork attitude.

Improve leadership skills.

What are the benefits of training?

The training has raised awareness among the guides of the possibilities opening up to them through mountaineering. Our dream is to organize women's only expeditions to Everest and other mountains in the Himalayas. We would also like to encourage women to train as mountaineering instructors as role models for future generations.

An immediate result of the most recent training was that two of our women guides took 2nd and 3rd places in the annual Nepal Sports (Rock) Climbing Competition in February 2008.
